Revised School Calendar and School Day

Good evening,

I know that there is a great deal of curiosity and anticipation in regard to what school will look like this year. Further, some districts in our area have altered their plans for what best serves their school community. It is important that our families know that at this time, Shiloh Schools are committed to moving forward with parents being offered the choice of either in-person or remote learning. The majority of our families (65%) are requesting in person learning and we have worked to create an environment that follows the IDPH and CDC guidelines to maintain the safety of our staff and students.  For our remote learners, we have acquired multiple new instructional programs and tools that can be used to support electronic learning. For both of those reasons, we will move our school district start date back and follow the schedule below:

Deciding about Remote Learning Options

In-Person or Remote Learning Options

Dear Parents/Guardians,

AS IT CURRENTLY STANDS, Shiloh 85 plans to reopen our schools this August with the first day set for Tuesday, 8-11-2020.  You will have two learning options for your student(s):
-In-person instruction with as many protective measures as possible within our school buildings

-Full-time remote instruction
Both the In-Person Learning Plan and Remote Learning Plan are available to view on our website at  It is important you read through the plans and understand what you are agreeing to prior to making a choice.  The attached document may also help you in deciding which option is best for your child. We encourage all of our families to choose the best option for the overall health and safety of your family and child.
